Dahachok is a small village located in the outskirts of Kathmandu. The village has a meager population of just over 4,000 inhabitants. The tiny hamlet is home to local culture, natural beauty and local cuisines.
It lies 10 km west of Kathmandu city. The villagers provide lodging facility to the incoming tourists by sharing their own home. Homestay is the common form of lodging in the area.
It has many small units of handwork embroidery, mainly immigrant Muslim workers. In the date of every Bhadra Sukla Purnima (fullmoon day), this place takes the important of Indrasthan Mela.
Himalayas such as Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Ranges and Gaurishankar are visible from throughout the trail. You can hike to Chandragiri from Dahachok and enjoy the gondola ride. There is also a View Tower at Chandragiri. It takes about one and half hour to reach the top of the Dahachok Hill.
Kathmandu was inscribed in UNSECO World Heritage Site in 2006. A popular hub among the incoming tourists since the ages, it has attracted the flow of Hippies during the 70s. Dahachok and Chandragiri are the popular local attractions among both the locals and foreign tourists..
Light walking and hiking suitable for most fitness levels. Not too challenging for amateurs. Max. altitude remains around 3000 m and the hike requires around 3-4 hours a day.

I have already visited Nepal many times before. I been any touristic places. This time, I tried a First cable car in Kathmandu, which is just in operation, called Chandragiri cable car.
