My Lucky Day when I discovered Caravan Outdoors

★★★★★

For 10 years a trip to Nepal had been on the top of my bucket list and finally it was so far! I spent a long time researching and I am sure my lucky star was shining brightly when I discovered Caravan Ourdoors with owner Gautam Wagle. From the moment I contacted him the communication has been fantastic and he went out of his way to make our tour as interesting as could be. We have made many changes along the way but that never faced Gautam and with a smile he always found a solution and his helpfulness and flexibility was out of this world. With guide Nava and driver Rammani we had the best time ever. If you are considering a trip to Nepal, don’t look any further because Caravan Outdoors makes it the BEST!!!

★★★★★

I would like to thank Gautam and Caravan Outdoors for the most amazing holiday. I traveled with two other people and can honestly say we all feel that this was a holiday of a life time.We traveled to many regions of Nepal with an amazing guide Nava and the best driver in Nepal Ram. We also went to Tibet and Bhutan. We were unable to do the trek to Poon Hill as one of are group suffered altitude sickness at Everest base camp. Gautam generously rearranged our tour, always with a smile and a willingness to make sure we had the best holiday. Thank you so much to Caravan Out Doors and especially Guatam,Nava and Ram. Friends for ever.

Our Guide Sujan recommended this Caravan Outdoors for the City tour. We visited Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Monkey Temple( Swoyambhunath Stupa) & patan Durbar square for the whole Day tour. The 4 places were totally different to each other. We had marvellous tour, delicious lunch on the way and Drive Rammani was also very talkative and helpful with safe driving. Thank you Gautam and Caravan team.

Amazing Annapurna Round Trek

★★★★★

I’m so happy and grateful that destinity gave me this trek with Caravan Outdoors. First of all, my gratitud to Gautam, the owner, who dedicated me many time planning this, doing many changes up to the last minute, always adapting everthing to my needs and desires, and always saying the same… “relax and enjoy, these are your holidays,”. He was so flexible that at the end, he gave me a private trek instead of a group trek!!.
Then I met Raju, my guide. You will never get bored with him, always happy and joking, and Amit, my porter… always with a smile in his face and good moon.

Raju is very experienced. He was always avoiding risks or dealing with them properly. I learnt a lot with him about mountains behavior. Amit is very responsible and so dedicated to his job that even when he got injured his ankle carrying my heavy backpack, he never stopped and kept going up and down like nothing happened. Fortunately he recovered before the end of the trek.

They both helped me to make a dream come true, trekking in the gorgeous Himalayas and getting up there through the highest pass on Earth… I will never forget every meter of his 5.416m. Just be sure that Raju and Amit have time to have their 24 hours energy shot… (Dal Bhat for life!!!)

We had very good times playing cards, talking or just walking in silence… and enjoying a birthday party with Nepali’s typical songs and dancing just for me (it was MY birthday!!!!). So, I more than recommend Caravan Outdoors and I hope you are lucky to have Raju and Amit in your trek!!!. Namasté!.

Just Plain Amazing

★★★★★

This was one of my best trips ever and much of its success is due to Caravan Outdoors (CO).

CO, amongst all its qualities, had two that were essential to me: Flexibility and adaptability, and they had those in spades from the initial time I contacted them to the moment I was driven to the airport for my departure.

My guide, Khem, was extraordinary at his task and I count him as a great friend now. I recommend CO to anyone who wishes to do any trekking in Nepal. if you have any further questions on trekking or about CO, I am happy to provide answers to them.

go out and enjoy.

Awesome Trip

I was on the 14 day EBC trek. It was brilliantly organized with accommodation and food included for the 14 days. My guide Jeewon was great with lots of info about the areas we walked through and all the names of the different mountains in view. I would highly recommend caravan outdoors and I shall hopefully be back next year for another trek!

★★★★★

I would like to thanks, Caravan Outdoors, Gautham Wagle, Salman and Iswor Prasad for making our dream come true. They made it easy for us, everything went good, the porters were very professional. The only negative part of our trip is that there were too many people on the trail but its not Caravan Outdoors fault. Thanks again for making my dream come true. I truly recommend Caravan Outdoors.

Great Experience with Caravan Outdoors

★★★★★

Before leaving Nepal, I’d like to share my experience with Caravan Outdoor.

We dreamed to come here and trek EBC route once in our lifetime. Back to a year ago, we were finding information about the trip. We visited Caravan Outdoor website and they contact us back immediately once they knew we’re looking for something while the others didn’t. With their information and advice, we decided to book the trip with Caravan Outdoor.

During a year, they always keep in touch with us by email until the day had come. We appreciated we found Khem Raj Basnet to pick us up at the Tribhuvan Airport with beautiful welcomed flower as our guide. He takes very good care of us since the first till last day in Nepal. He is a punctual and responsible person. During trekking route, he is a good friend of us, including our porter as well. Thank you for fresh fruit in every dinner, it helped us fresh after long day.

Even we’d almost done but we didn’t finish to our destination, EBC, because of our terrible sickness at Lobuche. Many thanks for helping us to coordinate with our insurance and evacuate us by rescued helicopter, ready ambulance at the Tribhuvan Airport with medical check and high standard hospital as our requested. Appreciated.

Thank you Mr. Gautam for visiting us at the hospital and take very good care of us with nice hotel until we leave Kathmandu. Also complimentary welcomed dinner and farewell dinner you provided for us.

We’re very impressive of your “inclusive package”, pick up and drop off services, accommodations, meals (BLD) during trekking, it’s worth to pay because what we got is more than services. Special thanks for souvenir, your duffle bag, we’re really love it

Wonderful holiday with many great memories with Caravan

★★★★★

We had an awesome trips with Caravan. Right from the beginning the owner Salman has been very attentive and patient to my questions. He set the right expectation for us about this trekking trip.

Our lodges were simple and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Something worth mentioning, these lodges along the trail came with great views of the mountains. I even managed to take the photos of milky way at Ghandruk and Chromrong.

The mountain guide Iswor took good care of us, provided excellent service during the 7 days trek up and down ABC. He always kept the last person in the trek accompanied. He helped to take food orders and serving them at every lodge that we stayed over. This had shortened the waiting time and we had more time to rest or prepare ourselves. 3 out of 4 members in our group had AMS and he provided us with alternative traditional medicine (Garlics) instead of resorting to Paracetamol which I am allergy too. We are blessed to have an experience and caring guide.

The only improvement I would like to suggest – We travelled by chartered bus from Pokhara to Kathmandu and spent 10.5 hours on the road due to bad traffic. The experience can be significantly improved if a private jeep or van had been hired.

Thank you Caravan for making my dream to trek the Himalayas come true. This is truly a wonderful holiday with many great memories. Namaste!

I’ve been planning a Everest Base Camp Trek for some years so when a window opened to go I vetted quite a few trekking companies. First thing I noticed with Caravan Outdoors (CO) was their quick communication and professional website. Salman was always available to answer any of our questions and wasn’t shy to let us know what was involved undertaking a trek of this nature which gave me confidence that CO would be there for us when we finally traveled to Nepal, they were.
I can’t say enough about the amount of support they provided us and how every detail was planned for with even our guide Anoj helping my wife get me a cake for my 50th birthday in Namche. I’ve been hiking for a while and one thing I’ve noticed was that hiking times between destinations were not really accurate but with CO everything was right on with description of altitude sickness, hiking distance and duration to even what we could expect at every stage of the trip. I have already recommended CO to other trekkers and I will definitely entrust my future trips to Nepal with this trekking company.
We can’t say enough about our wonderful guide Anoj who helped not only us finish a safe and enjoyable trek but also took the time in spearheading a helicopter evacuation for an individual from a neighboring trekking team. Thank you Anoj for everything and we hope to see you again soon.

From the start, Caravan was really easy to work with. I talked mostly to Salman who helped me through each step of the process of getting signed and getting to Nepal. I had never done anything like this before, climbing a peak, and they were very helpful in directing me to what I needed to get and do before arriving.
I ended up being the only one on my trip, but it was great. I summited Mera Peak (6400+ meters) which I had my doubts on doing since I was coming directly from sea level, but was able to do it with no major problems!
It was a great experience, the guides were amazing, the trip was amazing! I can’t say enough good things, I’m already looking to go back and do anther trip!

I and my wife decided to do the Annapurna trek on October, when the weather is really good. As this is the only time I could manage to spend holiday traveling, I chose to talk to Salman. He had been a great help since Day I.
The trip was well organized and he catered our specific needs. An experience guide, well facilitated rooms and attached bathroom were great. The trip went well than I though and without much difficulty.

★★★★★

We did the Everest Base Camp trek and had a really good experience with Caravan Outdoors. The company was very responsive to emails before our arrival, and airport pickup, transfer to hotel, and briefing were very smooth. The trek itself was beautiful and our guide was very knowledgable and seemed to know everyone in the area! When I had problems with altitude sickness, our guide very efficiently helped to arrange a medical evacuation to a good hospital in Kathmandu. Overall a great experience!

We completed the 11 day Annapurna base camp trek. It was our first time to Nepal and I am glad we booked our trek through Caravan Outdoors. They took care of everything (airport pick up, accommodations, park pass, etc..) there was no thinking required on our part. It was fantastic! Our guide and porter were very nice and answered any questions we had. Our guide made sure we beat the weather every night and we made it to our lodge before the rain started. Exceptional Service

★★★★★

I did a private Everest Base Camp in mid January with Caravan Outdoors and I had a blast. My tour guide Bale was very knowledgeable about the Everest Base Camp region, the culture and was very down to earth which allowed me to experience the Nepalese culture and communicate with locals. The tour delivered more than just a trek. Caravan Outdoors caters for the different needs and interests of its clients and made sure I was comfortable and catered for despite my food intolerances. I thoroughly enjoyed my journey with Caravan Outdoors and have and will continue to recommend their services to my friends and family.

Best price with maximum service that I can. Although in a very short trip, only 5 days in Nepal, I pursue the path trekking towards Namche Bazaar then Everest View Point at 3840 above sea level.

My boyfriend Kushala & me wanted to visit once in the birth place of Lord Buddha, Nepal. Finally we made the trip in last November by Caravan Outdoors. My south Indian friend Dev Balaji , from Chennai recommend Gautama and this company for the Outdoor Activities. We took 15 days Manaslu Trekking with guide Shiva and Porter Raju. The trail was just recovered from the earthquake and we were some how lucky to the be there near the Epicentre.

Trails along with Buri Gandagi River is gorgeous. The Birendra Lake in the Manaslu Base Camp, Samagaou is very beautiful. we spent 2 days there for the acclimatisation. The Larkya -la pass, over 5100M was our ultimate point of that trail. we crossed it safely and from the Bahundada, we drove back to Kathmandu. Guide Shiva is very good person, knows everything about the mountains, trails. Thank you very much Guatama for the superb memorable arrangements.

We spent just 2 days near Kathmandu, Boudhanath Stupa, which has just renovated after the last year terrible earthquake. Then we visited Swoyambhu, White Gumba & Tserten Monastery. Our tour guide Rajan was so knowledgeable and helpful. We also visited Lumbini, where we mostly liked to visit. We were so happy to got a chance to be there. Although, the roadways was not good. A mesmerizing and inspiring holy tour

★★★★★

The Kathmandu in February can still be cold. I had to carry double layers of clothing. You helped me find a short trip to spend a quality time in Nepal. Few days on the road and a holy tour of Muktinath temple was gold! The entire trip from Kathmandu to Pokhara to Jomsom was amazing. Once you get off the plane you jump into a jeep and the whole bandwagon begins.

I found Muktinath to be tranquilizing. The old temple, countless stone taps, pilgrims bathing in the cold water was truly inspiring. I’d love to go on a longer trip with you guys the next time I visit Nepal.
