Manang is a city located inside the Manang district of mid-western Nepal. It lies to the north of Annapurna mountain range and around Marshyangdi River. It also forms a part of the greater Annapurna circuit trail.
Gangapurna, and Annapurna I,II and III peaks are clearly visible from Manang. The trek begins from Besisahar, and advances through the same trail leading towards Annapurna circuit. After reaching Manang, you will get to do a hike around Tilicho Lake, the highest lake in the world. After a short hike, you will descend down the same way until Hungde. A short flight from Hungde will take you back to Kathmandu.
Manange (Manangi) account for the indigenous tribe of the region. They depend mostly on trading, yak caravans and tourism to earn money. Tilicho Lake is the major attraction of the trek. It is a glacial lake with no trace of any aquatic life.
Poses challenge for the amateurs. It may require fair level of fitness. Maximum altitude remains around 4000 m – 4500 m and the hike requires around 5-6 hours a day.
Comfortable tourist-class accommodations with character; mix of public and private transport. Star Standard meals at Kathmandu!

We completed the 11 day Annapurna base camp trek. It was our first time to Nepal and I am glad we booked our trek through Caravan Outdoors.
They took care of everything (airport pick up, accommodations, park pass, etc..) there was no thinking required on our part. It was fantastic! Our guide and porter were very nice and answered any questions we had. ~Jennifer Smith (Winnipeg, Canada)
